About Delaney Marie

Hello! Welcome, I am so glad to have you here! 

I am a New York City/Denver based actor, musician, and singer/songwriter. More importantly- I am a queer, disabled, big sister, daughter, friend, and cat mother. 

I grew up a military brat between households, held together by the constant flow of music. I have always been an avid lover of music, theatre, and movies. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a performer- though the medium shifted- popstar, movie star, popstar again, marine biologist (had a huge shark phase), then finally someone who could do it all. 

At 5 years old, I was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. Though this came with it's own set of trials, it has ultimately taught me that amongst the incessant work to keep myself alive, I am made stronger. It taught me how to excel and exceed expectations under unfair circumstances.

My Mission as a performer is to bridge the gap between differently-abled performers and their dreams. Accessibility in the arts is something that, though it is evolving, still needs work, and I intend to do everything in my power to pave the way for those with disabilities of all kinds through advocacy, dedication, and radical acceptance of my very own disabled body.  

As a disabled person - you belong in the arts. 

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in May 2023. Since, I have done professional theatre and film around the Denver area, with works through the Denver Center of the Performing Arts, Black Cube Nomadic Art Space, Town Hall Theatre in Littleton, and the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. 

I also have a creative project under the name S I L V A, where I will be releasing my debut single "Never the Bride" in February of 2025 (more under the "SILVA" tab). 

Fun Facts:

My favorite animal is a shark (never grew out of that phase), my favorite movie is Wicked (I mean come ON!!!), and my favorite T.V. show is Interview with the Vampire.
